PUBG Xbox One Releases Patch Notes Update #8

New PUBG Xbox Update is finally out! Get ready to check it out now, which is approaching live servers on June 27. In this latest PUBG update, you will explore brand new features, awesome contents and lots of new things making PUBG gameplay much more interesting, such as Controller Preset Type C, Weapon Mastery, the brand new Auto Equip feature, rebalancing all loot on both maps: Erangel and Vikend, and so forth.

  • New Progression System

  • How to achieve Weapon XP

    • Defeats

    • This new preset becomes more appropriate for the thumb, index finger, and middle finger control.
  • Unlike Preset A or B, Preset C is for the gamers who use leaning and combat strategies in a heavy way.
    • You will not find the Aim (over the shoulder) key in Preset C.
    • By using LB or RB key, you can perform the leaning.
      • Leaning was isolated from the analog sticks to dodge obstructing the aim or movement.
    • Already made a change to the key to equip sidearm, and now you must double tap key Y to change faster in dynamic matches.

  • According to the PUBG Development team:
    • Controller Preset C is made to create a battle focused preset, therefore, players will not experience many troubles in moving, leaning, aiming, or shooting throughout the fight by making all of them separate.
    • Preset C excluded the less commonly used key (AIM down the shoulder) and attempted to elude the loss in response time of ADS or the interruption to the fight.
    • More customization options will be attached to all presets (A, B, and C), enabling several key settings to be attached or changed. Make sure you send your feedback on this to the development team as soon as possible.

    • There are 3 options available, including Auto Equip Attachments, Auto Equip Scope, and Auto Replace Attachments
    • Auto Equip Attachments
      • An attachment will be attached to an active weapon once collecting in an automatic way if it is able to be equipped.
      • In case it is not able to be equipped, the attachment will be attached to the next accessible weapon ((Primary 1 -> Primary 2 -> Sidearm order)
      • But in case there are no weapons that can equip the collected attachment, then it will enter the inventory.
        • If the inventory has no free space, the attachments will not be able to be picked up.
  • Auto Equip Scope
    • Scope type attachments are provided with three various settings to decrease unanticipated situations throughout combat.
    • Setting – Off
      • Scope type attachments will not equip in an automatic way, instead, they will directly move into the inventory.
      • If the inventory is full, the attachments cannot be collected.
  • Setting – Sight Only
    • There are only some sight type attachments that will be attached automatically, including Red Dot, Hologram Sight, and Canted Sight.
    • Make sure the space in the inventory is still enough for these attachments, or else they cannot be collected.
  • Setting – All
    • All scopes will be attached automatically.
    • If the space in the inventory is full, you will not be able to collect the attachments.
  • Setting – Auto Replace Attachments
    • When you substitute the weapon that is being held onto a discrepant weapon by pressing key X, the compatible attachments will be attached onto a new weapon automatically.
    • For the ones that are not compatible, they will move into the inventory.
      • And make sure that your inventory still has enough free space for those attachments, otherwise, they will be excluded.

  • Rotating the Featured map from Sanhok to Erangel in PUBG Xbox One

Erangel 2nd Loot Rebalance

  • Increased the total number of items appeared in Erangel map by roughly 28%.
  • Increased the general number of items appeared, particularly the spawn rates of the items that have higher priority.
    • The spawn rate of AR has been grown by roughly 64%.
    • The spawn rate of DMR has been grown by roughly 114%.
    • The spawn rate of SR has been grown by roughly 177%.

Vikendi 2nd Loot Rebalance

      • Developed the AR spawns by 1.4x
      • Developed DMR spawns by 2x.
      • Developed SR spawns by 7x.
    • SMG, Shotgun, Pistol Crossbow and spawns have been lowered down a bit.
    • Slightly developed the attachment spawns.
    • Slightly developed high-powered scope spawns.
  • Cave balance adjustment
  • Because the Secret Cave doesn’t remain secret anymore, the loot within it has just been modified to keep it much more balanced and make it closer to other locations of Vikendi in order to upgrade the gameplay experience, while still providing players with good loot.
    • Care Packages will not appear in the cave anymore.
      • You will still spot and collect high quality non-crate loot in this location.
    • The variety of items appearing in the cave was grown
  • Item pool modifications
    • Attached MK47 Mutant, Half-grip, Thumbgrip and Laser Sight.
    • Excluded Win94 and R45.
  • Developed Moonlight weather condition percentage.


Map Cursor Improvement

  • The default speed of the map cursor was grown.
  • The speed of map cursor can be decreased by x0.5 for more correct pinging.

Team UI Overhaul

  • Teammates boost gauges are now accessible in the team UI visible while you play to upgrade team play.

Sound Improvements

  • More sounds for item interactions were added to PUBG game.
    • Before that, when items were dropped, looted, attached and detached, some of them shared similar sound effects regardless of the features of every item. But now, with the added sounds, these items will become different.
  • Attached vehicle suspension sounds.
    • Players are now able to hear the sounds of moving vehicle’s suspension working.
    • Discrepant sounds will be played in various circumstances. When vehicles move on rough terrain or when they descend from a jump, they will create exclusive sounds.
    • The suspension sound volume is discrepant between TPP and FPP.

  • The problem with players being unable to collect items positioned under damaged barbed wire fences was fixed.
  • The problem about items appeared in unreachable areas of Docks on Sanhok was fixed.
  • The problem about the player camera being able to traverse a specific wall at Paradise Resort on Sanhok while staying near it was fixed.
  • The problem about grenades being able to be thrown through the underside of the parasols at Paradise Resort on Sanhok was fixed.
  • The problem about stopping players from standing up after being prone under certain hut boardwalks on PUBG Sanhok map was fixed.
  • The problem about the lighting effects being able to alter suddenly on stone buildings with curved roofs on Sanhok was fixed.


  • The problem relating to the center screen DBNO and kill messages being postponed was fixed.
  • The problem about interaction UI still being shown in spectator screen when being killed throughout interaction UI activated was fixed.
  • The problem of certain maneuver being able to stop motorcycles from flipping was fixed.
  • The problem about the character keeping moving when system menu was opened while driving or freefalling was fixed.
  • The problem about discrepant UAZ model variants having varied maximum speeds was fixed.
  • The problem about a frag grenade ground burn mark textures overlapping the model of the player character was fixed.
